Evan is a competitor and an accomplished athlete. In high school, he led the Wooster General wheelchair basketball team to a 54-0 record and three consecutive state championships. Evan was the first wheelchair basketball athlete named the Roy Bates Player of the Year in 2020. He enjoys playing wheelchair tennis, track, and spending time with family and friends in his free time. Evan is majoring in special education and plans to be a teacher one day. In wheelchair basketball, his ultimate goal is to earn a spot on the U.S. Men's National Team.
